Mrs. Smith's third graders practiced their reading fluency with our kindergartners this week. The children had fun listening to their bigger friends read. Some third graders even reenacted parts of the story for us!

I love seeing the older kids with the younger. It gives the young kids confidence that they, too, will be able to advance their reading skills. What great modeling for the older kids to experience too. Thank you for coordinating these learning moments. I can't wait to see more!

Totally! It's so fun to have the kindergartners get to learn from/with the older students. And, the older students get to feel someone looking up to them and take new pride in their abilities - what a boost for everyone.
