Below are a few pictures taken by parent chaperones on our fall field trip to the corn maze in Manhattan. :) Hello parents!
Kindergarten is allowing our grade level to wear costumes on Friday, Oct. 30th, if it is alright with you at home. (We have dress-up materials for any students who wish not to bring their costumes, or who simply forget.) Just a reminder on this – please help your child keep it simple… leave big accessories (swords, etc.) and any face paint at home for the big night. :) Below is the sign up for our class party, if you are interested in helping! If you cannot attend but would like to get a supply for one of our 5 stations to send in ahead of time, that would be wonderful!! It would help me greatly to know what supplies will be in by next Monday so that I have time to get the rest of what we need together by Friday. I am trying to keep our class party pretty healthy, is it is right before lunch as well as right before a potential weekend filled with sweets. :) Please let me know if you have any questions! Here is the sign-up link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iO7UgGKFC11OL8UNnrZCFZLt9H-O5SNTMK54HeHsH7g/edit?usp=sharing Thanks for all you do!! Cate I thought this was a very helpful article describing a clear stage of progression for many of our kindergarten pre-reading and beginning reader skills. I hope this helps give fun ideas for at-home practice, as well as help explain the purpose behind many of our reading and phonics activities at school. :)
